    • Hey, I'm a proud Southern woman living near Houston with my long, tall Texan! What exactly are you insinuating?

      • I have family in Texas so don't get your panties all in a wad. Southern men, and more so in Texas, hold their girls neck when they are out and about. It is more comfortable to do that and it provides a quick means of protection should the need arise. It is easier to block an attacker or to shove your woman out of danger if you are not tangled up around their waist or holding their hand, which might have a death grip on your hand in an emergency. It is also a more masculine way to show affection and connection than holding hands. Like John Travolta danced in the Urban Cowboy. That is why I asked if she was a Texan or a southern belle.

        • Ah I see. Is that behavior really common down there? Or is it still considered unusual

          • It depends on the cowboy. Some ride bulls and some ride broncs. But they are still both cowboys.

        • That hasn't been my experience. It probably depends on the guy. Maybe the über redneck types do that more?
