As hard as it may be to believe some women like that kind of dynamic. As long as everyone is consenting and happy with the arrangement I don't see a problem.
Is that really the probable cause? I guess it probably is knowing that he's a dominant person. Sometimes he massages my neck while he holds it with one hand. He says he's "practicing"... But idk.
Hmm... if you're not comfortable tell him to stop. I guess it's just my personality, but I've never found overly dominant behavior attractive in other people. To be completely honest I do let my boyfriend smack me on the behind, but he's not an overly domineering person. I guess we kinda switch it up, but I certainly wouldn't think of us as being overly dominant or submissive on either end.
I only like dominant behavior in Siamese Cats and Shetland Sheepdogs. And it's probably more assertive and in your face demands for affection than dominance and certainly not aggressive.
Thats not a good sign for your relationship. I've never heard of someone doing that.
Bit hard to tell from your post, but if he's like some guys that like to act super dominant, they're actually super insecure deep down and will therefore want to control every single aspect of the relationship.
The moment you step out of line, want your freedom, challenge his authority etc, that hand on your neck will progress to 2 hands choking the life out of you. Get out while you can.
He's really good to me, it's just something very new. I find it comforting when he does it, but I've just never seen it before. I'll definitely ask him more about it next time. But I do think he just likes showing that he's physically stronger than me despite me also being a strong woman.
Why does my boyfriend hold my neck when we're walking?

Yeah, I think my natural instinct would be to crush an ego like that one.
Possibly. Haha

But it's oddly comforting when he holds my neck. It's as if it's his own way of saying "I'm here" but probably it also means something else for him
Is that what he said?

Yup. Not sure if it's an excuse for dominance or possibly even an aphyxiation or neck fetish.

I don't have a lot of patience for big egos.
