  • Often morality is short-sighted. It's dependent upon what people believe at the time as opposed to some absolute truth. For instance, nudity. People think it's a moral issue. I wouldn't dream of walking to work naked but that's because it's a moral issue for others. In the middle of summer, it would be nice to walk to work naked.

    But, if I want to be a part of society, it makes life easier if I follow society's generic rules. It's like a transaction in a shop. If I want fruit juice I have to give something for it in return (money). Same with society. If I want all the umbrella of benefits I get from it, I have to give something back (adherence to rules which maintain society).

    If I was the only person on the planet, I'd live differently. I guess you would too. Perhaps everyone would.
