I'm thinking they thought that because they are uneducated about health and are thinking that it would be very uncommon for a baby to die for no reason. SIDs is commonly caused by infintile sleep apnea. I have noticed most people are very uneducated about medicine. My exgirlfriend was legally blind and had albinism and I couldnt believe how many times people asked things like "why dont you wear glasses?" and "so your from albania?" I was even at her doc apointment one time where the doctor didnt know what an albino was.

Wow that's crazy. I agree with you that people are just uneducated, but you would think you'd reasearch it before blurting something like that out.
