Why do some people find nationalism a bad thing?

Nationalism builds strength and promotes unity it is a good thing.

Support is fine. Pride is stupid. To be proud of being any nationality is retarded. You had nothing to do with the decision where you were born.

Nationalism can mean two things:

- prejudice because of someone's nationality
- pride for your country

It’s because it’s historically been associated with racist & xenophobic ideologies.

Up until about 6-8,000 years ago there were no nations. Now we have nations and it has created philosophies such as racialism, Nazism, Imperialist Islam (with ISIS) and many more, not to mention the result of the only two world wars.

Before that, people could move freely upon the face of the Earth, which is the only reason Europeans exist. If we stayed where we came from, Africa would just be a giant city.

Global migration is good, nationalism is bad.

Nationalism leads to blind confidence in irresponsible actions of the state and ideas of cultural superiority.

I cannot for the life of me figure out this very question, it must be answered by one of "them".

Unfortunately those whom hold the view or opinion that globalism is superior to that of a National won't voice their opinion on this because apparently they're too chicken shit to do so... I dare you BITCH...
