Its the same with why do some women like tall guys, even more so since men are expected to be taller then women. Being tall is a sub-conscious attraction that human beings experience. Tall is associated with better genetics, better skills for providing (probably a throw back to hunter/gatherer), and more confidence (everyone likes confidence).
Its the same with both sexes in terms of the attraction. Guys have it even harder then women since we are expected to be bigger and taller. A short, pretty girl will have no shortage of attention from men, a short handsome man will have to work much harder for the same thing.
Guys 6'2-6'4 should have no problem. Below 5'9 (I am 5'10) makes it real tough on the guy.
