why do people these days consider vampire shows/movies as girly?

    I read the Vampire Diaries and the books are great, haven't seen the movie or show. I blame fucking Twilight with it's sparkling vampires.

      Vampires are supposed to have a romantic charm to them that's how they get their victims but they don't sparkle.

        In some iterations yes but commonly what your refering to is more of the charisma that is stereotypical of Vampires, not necesarilly romance.
