why do people these days consider vampire shows/movies as girly?

  • Oh, please, it's probably just as much, if not more, as girly as Twilight. I love vampire shows/movies, so I thought I would give it a go, and for the first twenty to half an hour nothing about vampires was even in the key storyline, all it had was girls talking about she slept with this vampire guy, then slept with this other one, so she had mixed feelings, but wasn't too sure because she loved another vamp guy. I tried so hard to get in to it but just couldn;t given that around 70% of it is about vampires in relationships rather than vampires themselves.

I wouldn't say it's dark and mysterious at all. The show was made primarily for a female audience, and intended female audience media tends to be around the same crap; attractive monsters that can be changed with the power of looooooove.

I mean, the "diaries" part is indicator enough.
