Yes. Weird grammar bothers me too. It's easy to mess up and make accidental mistakes when forming a sentence especially when that person like me, who is a non-native English speaker and still learning English did it. I know how you feel there.
If you've never tried it, learn French in Canada then go give it a try in France. They will think you're retarded. Not joking or using "retarded" euphemistically.
