I honestly don't know why people (girls in particular) go all ga ga about dogs. If someone gave me a dog, I wouldn't even go near it. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with a dog.
Every time I see girls react to a puppy, I roll my eyes.
This is probably an unpopular opinion though, so try not being salty about it

I love dogs but I haven't got one. I live in an apartment and don't feel it's fair to lock up a dog alone all day while I work. I know people do but personally I think it's cruel and selfish.
Dogs will love you unconditionally like no human being ever will. I feel a very deep kindness towards animals that I just don't feel for most humans
I feel you, It honestly annoys the fuck out of me. I live in a very "dog-friendly" city and I don't understand why girls go crazy over dogs. I don't hate them or anything, but I grew up with cats. I own one cat and if I tell one of those "dog-crazy" girls I have a cat they start talking shit about my pet. Like, hey, fuck you, I love that animal, you piece of shit.
It's because most guys nowadays are sacks of shit so girls need to feel loved from something different.

I love dogs, and cats both! I LOVE dogs so much that I actually have have a cat that would be considered a more dog-like breed of cat! Dogs are loyal, courageous, intelligent, trustworthy and all around great companions!
You're free to dislike dogs, if you don't like dogs, you don't like dogs. However, please understand that most animal lovers, like myself, are dog lovers as well. Do you know what I don't understand? I don't understand why you, or anyone would take issue with someone loving dogs. Why do you care whether, or not anyone is, or isn't a dog lover? Are you jealous of the attention that many young women give puppies, and dogs?
I don't even own a dog right now, but I can tell you that with regard to friendships, and dating I find people who don't like dogs, and or cats to not only be a major league turn off, but actually a dealbreaker for me personally. It's not because I have some hatred of people who don't like dogs, or companion animals in general, but rather because I recognize on a very deep, and genuine level that I am not compatible with people who don't like dogs, and or cats, or other companion animals for that matter. As far as I'm concerned there's no point in wasting time, and energy with a person I am deeply incompatible with.
Like it, or not people like, and love, dogs for the reasons I listed in my first paragraph, and human beings have considered dogs to be "man's best friend" for the better part of at least 15,000 years, and that relationship is only getting closer.
You have a right to your opinions, and feelings, but don't expect other people, particularly females who are just minding their own business, and living their lives to change their personal preferences to accommodate you and your your dislikes. Your best bet is to find other people, and more specifically women, who aren't dog lovers.
Puppies are one of the many cute baby animals on our beautiful planet and my dog is my best friend.

Well dogs are generally happy little things and they have cute faces. Although, I will forever be a cat person.
Some just don’t like animals. I’ve always loved animals but when I see one I don’t get all weird like your saying I’ll pet it but that’s about it. I grew up with no cats but still love them.
