Why do people delete their messages?

I just had someone say I hope you drown in a vat so I replied and said I hope you trip over my carcass. Then they deleted their message why??

    They run into a mental conundrum, become triggered, piss their pants, and finally decide to delete their posts. We see it all the time here.
