    Any shelter in a storm.
    Takes the mind off a broken heart so by the time the rebound relationship fails, the broken heart is more-less mended.

    People go on the rebound, because they're heartbroken, and can't bear the rejection. A lot of people are lonely, emotionally needy, bored and horny so they go on the rebound. This is why it's best not to get involved with someone who is constantly talking about his, or her ex.
