People think it's all the same because it's electronic and made with a keyboard. Sort of like all types of rock music have guitars but emo and alternative isn't the same.
It's completely normal because it happens to me and people just keep on listening to their shitty Top 40. Anyways, house is more classy and funky while trance is more faster. I don't know what rave is, though. And I know that techno has really high basses but it annoys me. Dance is pretty much what Top 40 is.
