Why do many gay men speak with a lisp?

    It is totally absurd that a change in sexuality alters your speach.

    Hollywood promotes the myth. But really that's just BS.

    Case in point:
    John Barrowman was turned down for part of Will in "will & grace" because he wasn't "gay enough"...

    Yeah. a real-life gay man wasn't gay enough for the part.... they wanted a stereotype wishy gay man... and not a man who had strength.

      Ha that's odd because I've always thought John Barrowman is more camp than the guy who ended up playing Will.

        Well he can be campy but he seems like he knows how to turn the charm on for all genders.

        Not to mention those muscles.
