Everyone hates doing things they HAVE to do. If school was optional, who knows? Maybe kids would like it more. Not saying that school SHOULD be optional or anything.
I also agree that we aren't challenged enough. I find myself thinking "WTF? I learned this on the history channel when I was, like, ten. They're teaching it NOW?" It's also the pressure to do well and get good grades especially for kids who need scholorships to even hope of going to college.
But I'm one of those weird kids who can't wait for school to start. I want to learn and get moving and I feel summer is slowing me down. Sure, I learned lots of cool things this summer (like how to make amvs) but I like structured learning in a classroom. Plus i'm an only child with no kids on my street and live in the middle of no where and can't drive and have few free friends. So yeah, I'm pretty freakin bored xP
why do kids hate school so much?
