Why do i feel more bloated since eating healthy

I have started eating a lot more healthy with a high fibre cereal that is 44% of your daily fibre needs. I have been eating two bits of fruit each day and trying to have some vegies at dinner.

I know eating healthy makes you fart more so I was putting the bloating down to there being more gas inside me.

Is It Normal?

  • Yes its normal eventually your body will adjust to your new diet and those symptoms will go away.

  • Ive been lifting weights for about a month or so and also changed my diet considerably. Protein intake has gone up and have cut out chocolate, crisps sweets completely. I fart alot because of all the whole foods i eat but ive noticed i go to the toilet less than i used to

    • My morning poos have not really changed but I have noticed some of my afternoon poos have got bigger. The other day I did an afternoon poo in a public toilet and it was one big log that came out very easy.

      • Was it easier to wipe too? Poops with good balance and high fiber should be practically no effort wiping after.

        • I have found that the more healthy you eat the more soft and sloppy and dirty your poos are and require more wiping. Bad food seems to create the hard poos that don't need much wiping at all.

          • You're wrong in that. The healthiest poops will tend to be the easiest wipes.

            What you consiser 'bad foods'? You might be completely off in that regard.

            • Lol, how can I be wrong in my own experience? It is the truth that when I eat healthy I fart more and often have more dirty poops. Not always but often.

              My morning poos though are always reasonably dirty no matter what I eat. I always know in the morning I am highly likely to do a dirty poo.

              Not everyone is the same.
