Why do guys walk around the room while getting dressed?

Something i have to ask is, when i watch my boyfriend getting dressed, he will go over to his clothes, put something on like his pants THERE,and then walk away while zipping up, come back to his clothes,put his shirt on, and walk around the room some more in a circle while buttoning up, come back again to clothes, put cologne/aftershave on, and yup you guessed it.. circle the room again... WHY do guys do this?? I was laughing so hard this morning just laying there watching him get ready to leave! Can't you just stay in one spot to get dressed? Do all guys do this,most everyone i've seen does. I think this is so funny and cute!

    Never noticed this until I read your post. But yeah I walk around the room too. Thinking about stuff I need to do during the day, while getting dressed and making sure I have everything for the day. Phone, wallet, car keys, any documents I need, etc.

    Sometimes my girlfriend just watches me as I get dressed, but I never gave it much thought...

    Guess it's a guy thing girls find amusing.

    i guess we like to see how it feels in the moment when trying something on, no use putting on a shirt only to then start to feel uncomfortable when about to leave so walking around is essentially like trying on shows and seeing if it feels good to avoid last min changes

    I don't do this often. Most likely, he has something on his mind he's focusing on. Maybe that's the way he's always done it.
    Women do 'weird' thing when getting dressed as well. Put on a bra first walk around naked everything else, do other things, then put on underwear. Sometimes they switch it up.
    Women have far more options when it comes to clothing than we do. I could take a good nap waiting sometimes.

      well this makes sense,but he does this just to put his clothes on piece by piece and it's so funny because he doesn't even realize he's doing it! then he's looking at me like, "what?!?" it was so funny, it's got to be a guy thing!

    I actually never realized I did this until it got pointed out in this post. Lmfao.

    My best answer is that I often have stuff on my mind or are thinking about something while getting dressed, so it's common for me to pace or circle around a bit while doing so.
