Wow, how old did you say you were? You really don't understand the ACT, do you?
The U.S. national average is something like 19 or 20. I'm not saying I'm Albert Einstein, just that I'm average or above. Lots of young males get into fights, it doesn't meant they're sub-intelligent. You don't have a very nuanced view of people.
Yes it does mean they are sub-intelligent, as you put it. Period. Intelligent people find alternative ways instead of violence.
If you are getting in fights it's because you aren't smart or mature enough to avoid them.
Oh bullshit, sometimes whooping someone's ass is precisely what needs to be done. Some people can't be reasoned with. Or won't be reasoned with. Some people do something that can only be resolved with an ass kicking. There's nothing wrong with that. I whooped my neighbor's ass after repeated verbal warnings. Amazingly he has not bothered me since, unlike when I tried to reason with him multiple times.
Funnily enough, tgs recommends that people physically confront bullies, to stop being bullied. He has often said it is the "only way" to stop a bully. I'm not sure how that fits in with "Intelligent people find alternative ways instead of violence".
I am not surprised. That's basically what I did. I don't see my neighbor as a bully in the traditional sense but he did put me in the position of 'if I tell or do anything, there's consequences' and he constantly put me in the position of being beneath him just due to his misogynisyic views which can be partially explained due to his age. I made excuses for him and let a lot of shit go. It's not like I am trigger-happy violent.
He was my next door neighbor, for one. And he is my landlord's dad, which adds another couple layers because we are in the process of buying this house. I felt powerless.
Yeah one day he pushed me over the edge and I was not willing to be quiet any longer. I don't consider that a crazy act of violence. I had gone through ignoring him, acknowledging him and asking him to stop, pointing out that I am married,s displaying obvioius disgust and discomfort at his advances, trying to avoid him. It worked sometimes but he got in a rough patch and was getting blind drunk every day and a lot of problems ensued. He said some over the top disgusting remarks to me and then physically sexually assaulted me one day after asking me for help paying his bills over the phone and taking him to the bank. I had had it and left but he bothered me again that day and I just decided I had to assert myself in a physical manner. It worked.
why do guys fight in bars so much?
