You should be nice to anyone that's not doing something harmful or bad. Though I don't keep up with Paris Hilton, so I don't know about her specifically.
Unlike most people on here *cough-shitduz* I really don't have the prerogative to try and change every single persons mind. You're entitled to your opinion, but perhaps I should solidify mine.
I dislike celebrity culture period. I find it to be stupid and overindulgent; I hate the fact that the last time a kardashian farted is all over the news. I also don't think that celebrities have any right to bitch and moan about being famous when they purposefully project themselves into the spotlight. My god...there's always a new celebrity; it would be easy to disappear.
Like I said, you don't have to change your mind, but as a feminist you think you would note the negative effect that female celeb culture has on young girls.
I know you think you have a fully formed notion of who I am because of a few sporadic comments on an Internet forum, but you don't. I'm actually not a judgemental person, and I do believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, but celebrities dump loads of cancerous bullshit all over popular culture, and then put themselves- by their own volition- on a platform to be judged. I think they offer next to nothing and I don't value them.
Oh, yeah definitely, you don't need to change my mind about this. There are numerous problems that come along with the culture.
I don't think I know you, nor do I think badly about you in the first place. I think you're being a bit extreme with this, but I agree with your main point. There are many problematic celebrities that are bad influences, especially to the younger generation.
While I disagree that they shouldn't get to complain about the hate/threats they get and don't deserve. (it is deserved a lot of the time, of course) They did put themselves into the public eye and into the position of being a role model, and they should assume that responsibility.
Plus there are some good things that come with it. There are celebrities that are good people and role models, and many people look up to entertainers when they have no one else. They do help people as well. I feel like that a lot of the issues fall back on the entertainment industry and society, and not the just the individuals in the spotlight.
Just curious, what does the fact that they're a feminist have to do with anything? Do you hate feminists or were you just joking around? Don't bite my head off, I'm just asking :P
Hahahaha. Nothing lol. Sometimes I make fun of the way people on the website behave in general. No, I don't dislike feminists categorically. It's just one of the top stupid insults people throw around here like it's a bad word. People here are so weird, I can't help but make fun of it sometimes.
"You're bitter"
"Youre a feminist"
"You're a hipster"
"You live in your parents' basement"
Lol plus this person just came off a giant argument with shitduz...omg I did that once; it lasted like 2 weeks...lol I think you did too...I guess it's a right of passage here.
Hahahaha. I bet mine was so much worse...it went on and on for weeks across random threads....some poor bastard was probably making their first IIN story, and they got like 12 pages of random responses that were all "stop your whinging about the plight of upper to middle class white males, you skirt wearing sheep fucker!!!!" Lol...it's probably still on here somewhere. IIN brings out the best in all of us : )
Why do famous people tend to have haters

It's really rough. Every night I listen to nirvana and think deep thoughts about anarchy before I fall asleep in a puddle of my own bitch tears.
How's being a feminist treating you?

It has its ups and downs. Making up statistics and hating all men gets a bit tiring, but someones got to do it.

Hahaha. You're funny : )
But seriously, you can't tell me we should be nicer to Paris Hilton. She's more useless than a pube somebody left on a bar of soap.
