Why do butterlies get so much love and moths, hate?
People tend to embrace the lighter colored flapping butterflies as if they are special, yet tend to crap all over the darker winged moth. Is this another example of institutional racism?

Maybe it's instinctive to loathe and fear things that hide and belong in the dark
i git big ole luna moths at the ranch
them fuckers are the size of a bird
I love moths. They always show up around me and they give me a sense of comfort. Last summer I had 5 moths chilling on my window at once.
I don't like moths because they always fly in through my window at night (in the summer anyway). And then they also fly much faster than butterflies so they're that much harder to catch and release back out the window.
Most people just don’t like walking around in the middle of the night, honestly. It’s pretty creepy to most people to see random stuff that you aren’t used to. I mainly just learned how to do that so weird people wouldn’t creep up on me. But yeah, you definitely miss out on a lot if you don’t face the things that make you uncomfortable.
Because butterflies are interested in flowers and stay outdoors, whereas moths want your clothes and textiles and have an awful habit of coming indoors, where you are... flapping around wherever you put the light on. They're a bother.
Also, moth wings aren't as pretty.
I got a moth tattooed on me.
Because moths are dope.
So am I.
That is all.
