Why do boomers like the minions so much?

It is a well-known fact that boomers like to upload minion pictures on their social media accounts. How come this is? The Minions aren't even from their childhood.

Is It Normal?

  • Minions are small, cute and playful and remind them of when their children were young. It’s not a coincidence that most minions fans are women, they pull on their maternal heartstrings. I suppose a comparison could be drawn to bronies, in that the original target audience was children but the biggest fans turned out to be adults.

I was 14 when Despicable Me came out and I thought the minions were great with their weird made up language and how their seeming indestructibility afforded them the opportunity to be complete knobs to each-other. But now boomers have stolen my right to like the minions, shed a tear for me O IIN brothers.

  • Not a boomer, but my mom is and neither of us knew this to be a well known fact, but we'll take your word for it and since I didn't know about it I couldn't tell you why. I'd personally like to know why people in older generations forward so many emails?

  • Minions have a soulless and mutated look to them, and are removed from humanity. This appeals to the boomer as a soulless misanthrope who is drawn to this abomination because of its demonic characteristics, thanks to years of cia brainwashing on the television.

  • I'm a so called 'boomer' abd I don't. The only pictures I upload/download are pictures of animals or my celebrity crush.

  • They are cute and make you smile. No other reason needed.

  • Boomers are boomers I guess, they can like anything they want no matter the age.

    • But why, of all things, do they like these particular characters?

      • Overalls? Overalls are utilitarian and what they are used to.

Are you honestly believing boomers are dressing based on a fictional charicters dress?

        • Literally no one has said anything about dressing like fictional characters. The fuck is wrong with your comprehension that you think OP is making that claim?

          • Maybe he confused "of all" with "overalls" while he was reading it? Seems like something I'd do in face to face talking

            • If he wasn't such a moronic douche, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but he always, always, always, fucks up and then doubles down on the dumbfuckery soo...

              No leniency.
