Is there a way to help then not let it bother them? I'm one of the people they take their anger out on when a troll bothers them or someone online has a different opinion than them.
That sucks. It's sweet of you to want to help them, but you have to remember, it is ultimately up to them whether they can be helped or not. You can only do so much, and other people are not your responsibility.
It really is down to individuals, I think. Same with most things, there's rarely a blanket solution.
I should add that immaturity is also a major factor, beside mental health. I left that out of first comment.
Why do adults cry when a stranger says something mean online?

Usually there's an underlying issue, often with mental health, and something just sets it off.
On a side note, I just can't take any supposed adult seriously, online or in person, who says to anyone else, "You're being mean". Are you five?
Not directed at OP. Just a generalised comment on that specific phrasing. The phrasing of the word in OPs use doesn't sound childish.
