While in college, my son had an economics class. His professor told them that before air conditioning, people sat outside on their porch, walked around town, and spent more time outdoors because it was cooler than staying inside. They talked and got to know their neighbors. It makes perfect sense. Now, people just hole up inside their house. If you look at old houses, they all had front porches. That WAS their air conditioning. I had relatives that lived in Pittsburgh in the 50s and 60s. In the evenings, men would sit out on their porches and listen to the Pirates on the radio. In a way, that was a social event in the neighborhood that took place over 150 times during the spring, summer, and early fall. I don't feel that it should be banned. However, I wish people weren't so dependent on it.
Why can't boys be shirtless in school?

Air conditioning is degenerate and should be banned. It is indicative of societal decadence and social decay.
