    I don't understand why people have to make a big deal over this. Are you really offended by the idea of someone wanting you to have a "merry christmas"? Or do you just want to be difficult? Don't be sour, tis' the season for gathering with loved ones and being merry. Just enjoy.

      It's not a matter of being difficult. I am offended when someone assumes I will be celebrating the same religious holiday as they are. It is ignorant and intrusive. I don't appreciate when people assume I believe in Jesus.

        I don't think it's an intential label they are placing on you. Most people just say it out of habit. The greeting isn't really about you and your beliefs. It is about sharing a kindness.
