I also try to stop the young ones making a fool out of themselves over some bf / gf - particularly if it will always be remembered and is cringe-worthy.
Wisdom comes with age :o( I wish I'd known what I know now, when I was in my 20's.
I wouldn't have wasted one precious minute of my day!!
That's sweet, my dad is like you and I'm glad he's here to teach me things. Even though I'm young I know a lot. I'm sure your son will appreciate what your doing. I hope one day when I have kids of my own they can be just as wise. :)
