Why are people so disgusted with abortion?

The title says everything, is it normal that I don't get what the big deal is about abortion? Like seriously people talk about it like it's murder.

I get that everyone is entitled to their own beliefs but I get aggravated when anti-aborters spew lies about it into the general public.

1. It is not a baby, it is a fetus.
2. Depending on when it is aborted it probably won't feel pain because the nervous system is still developing.
3. It is not murder considering it is not a person.
4. It actually HELPS to control the ever increasing population which is destroying the planet.

Anyone with me on this?

    Life is continuous. A sperm cell is living. Every sperm you skeet into the toilette will die. Millions upon billions of lost lives. Be responsible, inseminate. Overpopulate. Choke your species to death. Repeat.

      I can't tell if you're joking or not but if you are, then very funny. But if you're not then I think you never paid any attention in biology class. It takes two to tango buddy. You need a sperm and a egg aka conception...that's the earliest possible point life can begin. So those sperm lost in the toilette aren't lost lives.

    1) If it has a heart beat it shouldn't it's a life
    2)You are able to get an abort up to 24 weeks (6 months) at six months, it is able to feel pain, have thoughts,taster,hear.
    3) When exactly does it become a 'person'?
    4)Why is it that people for example think euthanasia is such a horrible thing and is illegal, when a lot of times those people want to die, where as abortion is legal and everyone is perfectly fine with it and that 'fetus' has no choice in the matter, no say in whether he/she will live the life they deserve a chance to live.

    I know I will 99% chance get thumb down for this because the internet is extremely liberal, but it's what I believe and I stand by it wholeheartedly.

      Agree. For those of you who say a fetus can't feel pain, look up a video of an actual abortion. It's absolutely disgusting and horrifying. There's a reason why liberals who push abortion (Notice I specified which liberals, please don't attack me internet) completely avoid this part. They know how awful the procedure is. As for a fetus that is in its very early stages of development watch some videos and see how amazing and complex cells can be at such an early stage in development. Even a scientist will agree. What might now feel pain or have a heart beat or have fingernails now could have all of those things and more in just a few weeks.

    If abortion is wrong, so is masturbation. Millions of little lives dying. And women, having your period is murder. Those poor defenseless little eggs....

    Honestly people, your opinions on this subject are your own, that's fine. And I'm talking to the anti abortion fanatics here, STOP shoving your beliefs down other people's throats! It's fine to think differently, but don't condemn people who don't agree with you. Childishness.

      There's a difference between sperm, and egg dying and a fetus dying, a fetus has a heart 18 days after conception.
      I agree about not pushing others beliefs down others throughts, but just take a second and look at the comments sections, what comments have the most thumbs up? And what comments are the most disliked and that have the most people argueing on them. People who are 'pro choicer' push their view just as much if not more than 'pro lifers'. Everyone has there own opinion why do we have to bash them for it?

        Opinion ceases to be a personal issue when it interferes with the rights of someone else.

        All the top voted comments tells you is that the majority of IIN is pro choice. I don't know if anyone on these websites is old enough to remember the days when abortion was illegal, I know I'm not, but I've read enough stories about it to feel strongly about abortion rights.

        Even if someone is being as safe and responsible as they can be, accidents happen. People living in poverty often have poor access to necessary healthcare; I know plenty of people who don't have insurance but don't qualify for medicaid who can't even afford birth control; condoms are getting more expensive too.

        When abortions were illegal, desperate women who found themselves pregnant and had no other options had no recourse except to go to some back alley quack. You know what the point of those procedures was? It wasn't some half assed effort to abort the fetus... often the purpose was simply to cause bleeding so they COULD go to the doctor and terminate the pregnancy, many women had their bodies destroyed and many died.

        After reading firsthand accounts from women who struggled through this, I couldn't be anything but pro choice. We already have an overpopulation problem, and before you start touting adoption I'd suggest doing some research. Most kids put up for adoption simply spend the first 18 years of their life in an orphanage.

You said for us to stop forcing our opinions on to pro choicers, but look at what you are doing, when all I said was the 'fetus' has a heart 18 days after conception.
          Where I live we have free health care so the money thing isn't a problem. And if you can't afford a condom you should not be having sex, simple as that.
          My question, why would a women destroy their body or even die so they wouldn't have a child! It's not that horrific of a thing, and there is a thing call adoption.
          Maybe before you start talking about abortion you should do some research. I know from personal experiences that there are so many couples who want children so badly and aren't able to have kids. They wait for forever to adopt because there's so many parents and not enough kids! I know a couple who had to wait 6 years for there first adopted child and 5 for their second and not by choice. I think people have this misconception that there's an abundant amount of kids in orphanages when really it's not.
          I wasn't trying to start a fight, I was stating a fact to you about the difference between and fetus and sperm/egg, and saying that I agree with you on that we should not push our beliefs on to others, but aparently you don't actually take your own advice.

            You can have your own opinions and make choices for yourself. But suggesting that everyone adhere to that opinion is what is wrong. There's no contradiction there.

            Don't like abortions? Don't get one. But don't stop other people from having one. Is that really such a difficult concept to grasp?

            It sounds like you're the one who needs to do some research, because there are plenty of kids for all the wanting parents out there and more. Know where they are? Orphanages. I don't feel like pulling out statistics, I've argued this enough times on here to be sick of it.

              I never suggested everyone have the same view as me, I said that there's a difference between a fetus and sperm/egg. And that people can believe whatever they please and you jumped on me and gave me a big long lecture when you supposedly believed that people should 'STOP shoving your beliefs down other people's throats' when that's exactly what you are doing to me.
              Actually I have done research as well as had personal experiences of my own, the kids in orphanages are mostly kids put there after they become kids and are no longer babies. If you take the right procedures before the child is born there will be no trouble in finding the best possible parent, you look through there records, ask questions, you can choose you child's parents and make sure they're the best.
              I have my opinion you have yours lets agree to disagree.

    Its not killing it if its not alive/ born yet.
    It cant think, feel or speak.
    Its not ruining a lifr, its preventing one.
    What about all the other sperm who dont get born? Should we feel bad for them too??

    I sort of agree with you. If a woman is only a few weeks pregnant and decides to get an abortion.. w.e. But if they are months pregnant. Its fucking murder. The baby is alive inside of you. Abortion is terrible and should be illegal everywhere. If you dont want the baby, put it up for adoption! im sure there is someone who will take your child. Its also stupid because after people get abortions, they usually feel terrible, depressed, and sometimes suidical. Which they should. They killed a poor innocent child that they could have simply put up for adoption. Fucking idiots.

    1. I think the fetus is a living human being, it is alive as soon as the egg is fertilized.

    2. If they feel pain or not is not the exact problem(even though I think it feels pain after 8 weeks) the problem is destroying a human life, a human that wanted to live. If he did not want to live, sperm cells would not compete to get in an egg.

    3. isnt a person a human?... then it is a person. We know it is not going to grow up as a chicken, or a fish, its a human.

    4. if people want to control population then use condoms, try abstinence or just adopt, there thousands of children without a home or a family.

    I Dont like abortion... I think killing a human being that is growing up in an uterus is wrong, he has freedom to live and no one can take it from him or her..
    But sadly i think thats up to the mother, not to anyone else.

    I agree to a point. Some people wait to long to abort though. The sooner the better! At some point in order to get rid of the baby they have to crush the head to get it out of your uterus and they send it our with the biological waste. Very sad. If it's still just a little immatured thing, I have no qualms lol

      Its not likely to be an accurate account. During pregnancy the baby hasn't got enough brain cells or connections between neurons to be aware of itself let alone what happens to it.

    abortion is wrong is killing another human without a knowlege just like puting a person under and killing them, no matter what stage the abortion is is still a flesh of a human no matter if tehre is no nerve the live for that baby has began,i feel sick just by talking about this we should have a stronger laws where no one is able to have an abortion,most cases is the fault of the mother couse they should keep the baby rather then destroy its so easy to destry something but to build it takes a lot of effort and time.
