I consider myself a free thinker. I do believe there's something more..I'm in a lifelong quest to figure out what that is.
I also know that the Earth is spherical, it's about 4.5 billion years old, and we share common ancestors with apes.
I am a Christian and I believe that God was the reasoning behind the Big Bang. I believe that God, being all powerful created this universe therefore created primal bing that evolved into what we are today.
I'm always surprised at how many people insist that those two concepts must be exclusive. When I read Genesis, I see a metaphore that explains the Big Bang and Man's creation through Evolutionary processes. I believe that we were created in His image...not necessarily that He looks like an ape as much as that we were given the gifts of compassion, empathy, and the ability to love. Isn't God, by biblical definition, Love?
Why are or aren't you religious?

That's pretty much my belief. I believe God made us evolve into his image.
