Why are kids scared by their teachers?

Why? Ive seen times where the kids are right but they don't have the guts to say it. Why?

Some kids tend to be scared of authority figures. And some teachers, especially ones that teach younger students, intentionally try to act scary to get the kids to behave.

The whole function of most education is to train kids to blindly obey authority figures and do pointless busy work for 8 hours a day not questioning why or seeking out any alternatives. They are brainwashed to obey and not question.

Here as well. Brutally, too strong a word but it happens. It's very normal. It varies of course. Doesn't happen everywhere. It's in the culture. We're not raised to talk back and act entitled.

Fear of ridicule. Teachers have lots of authority and most kids don't care enough to take a stand. It risks getting the teacher to dislike them and grade them less fairly. It has happened to me at college even! My professor answered someome's question and said that training in the morning is better. I had evidence pulled up on my phone that disputed this! But the risk-reward trade off is not worth it to me for the reasons I eluded to earlier.
