So I’m having breakfast at McDonald’s and this fly been hitting the window over and over again for 30 goddamn minutes and making all kinds of buzzing noises, why are flies so fcking dumb to realize there’s a transparent layer between them and the outside? After 30 minutes? I’m just curious

I'd say the twerp who doesn't realise there is a vast difference in cognition between a fly and a human is the bigger moron here.
Yeh 🐒🐵 monkeys have fewer cognitive abilities than humans but much more than a fly 🐝, a fly doesn't even have cognition, they don't have the mechanisms to understand recognition or reason or anything. Their senses attract them to certain smells, but they're unable to recognize a same smell from before, the same thing with remembering 2 seconds later that there's glass in front of them, they don't have the cognitive ability for remembering anything, they're more attracted to smells in the sense of a magnet, not in any cognitive way.
