Why are diabetic people assholes?

Every Diabetic person I’ve met always had a chip on their shoulder and bad breath. To give you an example my coworker who’s a Diabetic stubbed his finger and I asked if he was OK. And he could only respond, who the fuck would be OK if they just stubbed their finger! Dick!

I carpooled with a friend in high school whose dad is a Diabetic. He cane 30 minutes early and of course I wasn’t ready, but took 7 minutes to get ready just to hear him whine he couldn’t fall asleep because of his blood sugar!

We all have problems, I have an an auto-immune disorder and chose not to mistreat other people because of it. Why don’t Diabetics grow up and do the same?

Oh please grow up: it's ridiculous to categorise everyone with diabetes because two of them annoyed you.

Theres a diabetic chic at work thats really nice. You only get irritable when your sugar is very low and you are passing out.

Not necessarily and obviously from OP's post irritability isn't confined to people with diabetes.

One instance with two people = everyone.

    Sounds legit.

Only person I've ever known with diabetes is lovely.

    Shoo.

My mom is diabetic and I hate her. Wish she would just die already.

    • You have mommy issues? Well that explains you. Funny how some people don't realize that they're just repeating textbook cases of the same type of blind, damaged person.

    • Is she is worse mood when her sugar is high or low?

I've known quite a lot of people with type 1 diabetes because my ex had it and met loads of friends via his group, and they were all lovely.

Most type 2 people I've known have just been super old or super fat and not talked much.

I'm guessing you're a doctor specialising in diabetes and know exactly what she should be doing to "help herself"? If not, please shut up

        • I don’t need to be a doctor to know a diabetic shouldn’t consume beer, fried food, a box of donuts, and never exercise. I like her overall.

Of course some diabetic people are assholes. Also, some non-diabetic people are assholes. The same goes with all ailments.

  • Maybe its just you OP! You just rub people the wrong way or you have one of them faces only a mother could love and everyone else wants to punch.

  • All the diabetic people I know are fine. Can't relate, OP.

one thing is for sure. helping yourself is not always easy. many people do a lot worse to their body eat a lot worse than people with diabetes and or endocrine issues and would not gain a pound if they never even got off the couch and their bones atrophied. just saying

2 diabetic people don't represent all diabetics.

My best friend is diabetic and my life would be a lot more boring without that bastard XD
I also wouldn't have a best mate who's a crazy car guy like me.
Known him since I was 7...

We are even planning a joint business investment together in the not so distant future. When I get married, he's gonna be the best man. Guy's like brother to me.

      Oh great.
Does that mean soon there will be diabetic restrooms? Diabetic rights? People quoting the bible to say how the lifestyle is wrong? Basically all the BS that comes each time someone who is not straight white and healthy just wants to be treated like a human?

*awkward cough* celebrity are sometimes treated like gods and not all are straight white healthy males. Same with the rich and popular.

Chill with the "straight white male/female!" in most of your posts.
You need a Snickers bar? Haha

People want to treat non whites differently? What world are you living in? Its 2019. No one gives a shit anymore.

I have type 2 but I am not bitter. I know some on here think I am a bitch but in RL I am alright.

I wash my diabetic meds down with a nice cold pepsi or chocolate milk.

Keep something else in mind - doctors diagnose pretty much everyone age 18 to 60 with type 2 diabetes. Before that it is autism and after that it is COPD.

      • leggs91200

Nope, and for highest glucose level, I do not know. I do not bother with blood sugar testing.

I don't know how this will sound but really, I couldn't care less about all that.

        • Isn’t blood sugar testing necessary when diabetic?

          • leggs91200

Suppose to be but not like testing is going to change anything. I am not going to say, "Oh no, blood sugar too high. better not eat such and such."

Some people make an entire lifestyle out of their ailments/disease/disorders or whatever. I do not.

If you are seeking solid advice about dealing with diabetes, I am not able to help because I am not a doctor and I do not let my health issues control my life.

Also forgot to mention, mine is type 2, which is also called "adult onset diabetes".

I don't think everyone with diabetes acts like a screaming asshole, but I have dealt with people who were obnoxious. I just figure it's not my circus, not my monkey.
