Why are bugs called bugs?

I know the story of why computer bugs are called bugs but I'm talking about hidden microphones and the like. Does it just come from the computer bug explanation or are we all being spied on by insects wearing mics?

    Because during WW2 they were actually in the shape of bugs.

    technically they should be called insects, bacteria, virus sometimes hummingbirds if you had too much to drink.
