so am i, my dad is irish and he gets angry easily. sometimes its good to be able to stick up for your self, i used to cry really easily and people got really annoyed with me, now i wish i had stood up for my self.
It might be because of the troubles in Ireland, when my dad came to England during it, he thought it was really peaceful, so maybe the troubles make you more on your guard than other people.
