Why a $12.00 bathroom scale not read the same as the doctors one?

  • Forget the cost of your own scale. Scales in doctors offices are always more accurate. Doesn't matter the cost of your home one. Get a digital one and weight yourself no more than once every 10 days. Make sure it is 0 when you are off of it. Any more than that and people get carried away with losing 1 pound. It is more about losing fat not weight. Remember muscle weights more than fat so if you are active you may gain some weight. You want more lean muscle, not fat. If your pants are more loose after 3 months, you are going in the right direction.
