This is almost entirely going to be based on political leanings. While there will be *some* other cultural differences, the main and most notable one will be the personal political idealogy. Alabama and California are so far into the red or the blue that those traits will define the rest of their personalities.

No I'm not asking "whats worse a democrat or a republican". The cultural differences are far greater than the voting patterns.
