Anyway, there are some that say that 2012 actually marks the end of an age. Many believe we are starting to leav the age of Pisces and entering the age of Aquarius. The age of Pisces is described as an age of spirituality, compassion and illusion. Aquarius is that of freedom, technology and enlightenment.
Each phase supposedly lasts 2100-2300 years. This is where the Mayans come back into the story because that calendar was actually their Mayan Great Year--about 25,600 years total with each sign spread out within.
When all is said and done is still might be just as much a crock as the actual world coming to an end in about two years time. Then again, WE are the ones that make it what it is.
