You will probably have to be harsh just this one time. It is worse that you are not telling him off, it makes him think he still has a chance. It is better sometimes to just rip off the band aid fast instead of slow. Get it over with because otherwise he is just going to think there is hope.
Yeah, you're right. I have to be harsh this time. Its better to tell him early. It'll hurt more if I let him hope for nothing. Thanks for your help. :-)
