Who would win in a fight? tiger or lion?

This would be a one vs one fight, so no tiger vs pride of lions, just one male tiger against one male lion. Personally I think the tiger would win due to tiger's weighing more than an african lion so the tiger would have the strength and weight advantage, tiger's also scientifically have a stronger bite force and larger brains. Male tigers also are able to survive solo because of their solitary nature and are more active than lions, male tigers needing to hunt for themselves constantly while a male african lion rarely is involved in a hunt and makes the lionesses kill the prey, meaning the tiger would have more experience in fighting and killing things.

African male lions do partake in some fights such as when a rival male challenges the leading pride male for his pride, however this doesn't happen everyday and only happens occasionally; usually when the leading male is already weak, old, sick, etc. so the younger rival has a better chance at taking over. Male lions do have a defense which is their mane which protects their neck, although it isn't a 100% guarantee to save a lion from death or attack.
