Mrs B. She was my 5th grade teacher. She had an awesome personality, very sweet and friendly. She drove a green Volkswagen Beetle and she read awesome books to the class like Coraline and Wayside School is Falling Down. Years before she became my teacher, she had been in a car accident and walked with a slight limp because of it.
One time a Mexican classmate had a pinata for his birthday, and when it busted, Mrs. B got trampled in the scramble to get the candy. She got taken to the nurse's office and we all went back to the classroom. We all felt so bad for what we did that we each placed a handful of candy on the overhead projector as an apology gift. When she came back, she was very touched by our gift.
Sometimes I miss her really badly and wonder if she's still around and if so, does she still remember me?
