The fictional "war on Christmas" is something American Bible-bashers believe in. It's a classic example of false victimhood invented by the snowflakes of the political right who feel that their dominant position in society is under threat.
As far as they're concerned, any effort by anyone to prevent them from spreading propaganda about the fairytales they believe in, and any attempt to prevent them from forcing everyone to celebrate their holy day is a "war" on them and their beliefs.
Ironically, there really was once a war on Christmas, and it was waged by a group of Christian wingnuts who are revered in the mythology of early American history. The Puritans (who are best considered the Christian equivalent of the Taliban and other fanatical Muslim groups today) banned all celebrations of Christmas because it was non-Biblical. Also, traditional celebrations of Christmas back then tended to involve a lot of feasting, drunken carousing and other debauchery, and as far as the Puritans were concerned, we weren't put in this life to have fun, but rather to suffer for our countless sins.

I've never thought of the Puritans as victims myself, because they were very strict, and judgemental. When I think of the Puritans I always think of people who thought the Roman Catholic Church of the Middle Ages wasn't strict enough. When I think of the Puritans I think of witch trials, and The Scarlet Letter.
This is why guns are so important in America. If our asshole Puritan founders ever seize control of the government, We the People will have to machine gun their arses in response to their tyrannical despotism. Given our history, freedom can still become an explosive issue rather quickly.
For anyone who says there is no war on Christmas, they tried to make Santa a non-binary lesbian. How do those words even go together without being an oxymoron?
