If they have already decided this is what they are going to do or are just attention seeking you will know. You know when they shoot down everything you say and say "Well that doesn't matter" and so on. I have helped a lot of people who were gay, retarded, autistic and mentally ill and have not gotten much for it. I help since its the right thing to do and I would help even if it would end up getting me killed. Whats incredibly sad though is no matter how many people I help none of that matters to job without a degree. I have more experience fixing stuff without a degree than I am sure people with a degree actually have experienced right out of college but only that stupid degree matters. You dont need to have a degree to help, you just have to listen and care and pay attention.
Who of you would actually try to help someone suicidal feel better?
