Having dark eyes with an interesting shape probably does that too. I guess they stand out and then people seek familiarity from whatever shape your hair frames them in. You're lucky; at least you're being compared to sex symbols.
Although I get John Cusack / Shia LaBeouf / David Duchovny but it would be beyond a stretch to say I look like anything like them. I could maybe be mistaken for one of them from the other side of a car park.
I hate it when someone picks up on my accent through my manual alphabet! lolz
Serious thought though, she was able to read lips by placing her fingers over the lips of the speaker, and her thumb on the larynx to feel the vibration. I wonder if difference in accent would be perceptible through this method?
I had a deaf girlfriend and she could tell people's accents from the way they formed words when she lip-read. She even had preferences (Irish, American, Australian, pretty much the same as many "hearing" women).
P.S. Tip for you. If you're going to turn your back on a deaf woman and mumble something under your breath, check where the mirrors are in the room.
