I think that saying "worse technology = better" is a very flawed argument.
Everything about the 90s still exists. No-one has destroyed all the music and the films and the TV and the crap technology. You can still have all those things if you think they are better. If that isn't enough for you, it seems like what you want to have a society which is made in the image you want, you want other people to change so what you like is popular again. I think that's normal too, but I can't really empathise with it. Maybe it's because I'm not old enough to really feel nostalgic yet about any time.
I don't think there is an obsession with oneself now, honestly. No more than there's always been. Technology doesn't just give people a platform to perform individualism, but also to connect us and be more giving.

I never said that technology nowadays is worse, what I meant is it's best time... i can't explain it but you didn't either... maybe other '90's kids or teens or youngs can explain it to you...
