who here agrees that 1990's is still the best decade ever in case of experiences and others?

I really miss '90's, hope anyone else those...

Musics, films, news, wow, I can't believe it has been more than decade... I kinda feel depressed thinking 'bout this.. Literally depressed. I want '90's back!!! Where there were no Internet, smartphone, colored-screen phone, obsession about oneself.

    Sorry, but my money is on the 60's (yeah, who on here who knows me, would have guessed, right?)
    Sex, drugs and great rock and roll. And no serious STD's.
    JFK, surfing became popular, LSD was legal, everything was CHEAP (a gallon of gas or a pack of smokes was 25 cents). A new car was $2500.00 or less.
    The first Bond movie, the first man to walk on the moon, Mlk, free love and light shows at rock concerts. Jimmy Hendrix, the Beatles, The Stones, oh I could go on forever.
    I wanna a time machine; anyone got one to rent?

    I miss the 90s too. I miss having reading as a hobby (the internet more or less destroyed any joy that reading gave me). I miss playing the original Pokemon games and the Donkey Kong Country trilogy for the SNES. I miss the golden age of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. I miss the music.

    But most of all, I just miss being a kid.

    Everybody misses the time which they grew up. I was born in the the 80s and my childhood was within the 90s. I guess I will always have a soft spot for that time. I think it is funny when someone born in 1993 or 1994 rages on and on about how the 90s was the best, yet they were only 6 years old when the year 2000 came along.

    I think that saying "worse technology = better" is a very flawed argument.

    Everything about the 90s still exists. No-one has destroyed all the music and the films and the TV and the crap technology. You can still have all those things if you think they are better. If that isn't enough for you, it seems like what you want to have a society which is made in the image you want, you want other people to change so what you like is popular again. I think that's normal too, but I can't really empathise with it. Maybe it's because I'm not old enough to really feel nostalgic yet about any time.

    I don't think there is an obsession with oneself now, honestly. No more than there's always been. Technology doesn't just give people a platform to perform individualism, but also to connect us and be more giving.

      don't be so serious about my last statements.... that's just expressions about how, in my own perception, that time is irreplaceable. I never said that technology nowadays is worse, what I meant is it's best time... i can't explain it but you didn't either... maybe other '90's kids or teens or youngs can explain it to you...

    Saying that you hate the 21st century is kind of harsh, you are going to be living in it for the rest of your life. Does that mean you will hate the rest of your life? I think everyone thinks the decade they grew up in was the best so yes it is normal. But try not to focus on the past, the 90's are never coming back, it may suck but that's the way life works, it keeps going whether we like it or not. So suck it up and enjoy your life right now.

      that's my own perception.... and to clear things up, I'm encouraging people here to hate things.... i'm just opening up...

      i never meant that i hate 21st literally, what i mean for hate is what is in it....

      for me 21st is too boring... literally boring... seeing those kids, teens, youngs... well I'm not judging... though I would give anything to live one more time in '90's

    I'm not sure about all that.. The 90s seemed alright. I wasn't around for much of them, though. If I could visit any decade it'd be the 70s for sure. The 80s would be next pick. Seems like people got real depressed and narcissistic in the 90s tbh. But overall I love being a 21st century girl. We have a lot of freedom and advantages, unlike women of the past.

    Yup. The 90's was a PERFECT time for Africa, with 500,000 people getting slaughtered in 3 months in a mass genocide, and a devastating war caused by resources in the Congo. And weren't we having the best of our days in Eastern Europe, when 8000 people died in a massacre in Bosnia and when NATO bombed Sarajevo? Oh, and don't you just feel so nostalgic over the collapse of the Japanese economy?

    Considering I've only lived in the 90's and 2000's, I really wouldn't be able to tell. But the 80's seems like it was fun. I think I'd prefer that time period.
