I have a friend who works at a store and gets me a discount..............I'm counting it
poor Pinocchio all he ever wanted was a relationship with no strings attached..
I have one, first time ive ever had a Fwb. We've work together for a few years, and it just happened in the last few months. Probably makes me skanky, but ive been enjoying it.
I suppose you get a lot of questions about it a) because it's more common than some people think and b) the "rules" of a friends-with-benefits scenario are much less well-defined than in a traditionally-structured relationships.
We get the "rules" for "normal relationships" from the relationships we see on TV and in movies and in real life with our parents and friends. We learn what to expect from practice and watching the people around us, and even if we don't like what other people do in their relationships it gives us a reference point for what we want to be different in our own. But friends-with-benefits is a different beast, and we don't usually get the option of a well-trodden path to follow. You're forced to make up the rules between you and your partner. You need to decide whether or not you're monogamous, whether it's a short-term or long-term thing, what depth of friendship you're going to have. Some people don't know what to do when you tell them to make up their own rules.
Friends-with-benefits is great when it works well. It requires good communication, maybe even more so than a "normal relationship" because of the aforementioned need to establish your own rules.
I'm just not that desperate for casual sex or a pretend friend. It's not worth the trouble.
Well I can only speak from my experience. And from my experience, you can have a FWB who is a genuine friend, not just one in it for the sex.
But I'm sure there are plenty just up for a booty call and that's the full extent of the 'friendship'.
Not really, the one I have currently actually had no clue about the breakup and invited both of us over for casual gaming. He got the story and I invited myself over.
He also seem to care enough to support me through this but it's like he said " We are using one another"
As long as it's consensual all the way- No problem.
I'm true friends with my fuck buddy, I was with her when she almost died in hospital.
Did about half a year ago, but then again I wouldn't say we were friends...
I have one right now.
Got dumped just out of the blue by the boy I actually was stupid enough to believe I had a future with so I hooked up with a tall, friendly and sexy male friend of mine to distract myself.
I have also had these sort of relationships in the past.
I do now. prior to meeting insert name her. I just used to go out and pick guys up for sex. I see him a few times a week. I am seeing him tommorow morning for some fun as we both have the day off work.
Amazing sex on tap and no commitment. Best of both worlds. x
