As far as platonic relationships go.

  • Well I'm a lot closer with my mum than my dad and have always felt more comfortable opening up to women, I think I have only one or two male friends who I have complete trust and am able to confide in. Most of my friends are guys but we don't tend to talk about anything beyond trivial everyday stuff.

  • Men. I can tell my close male friends anything and don't have to worry about being judged. I can talk about sex and how it's viewed; I can talk about our bodies and how society stresses it too much; all without being judged. I only have one girl that I'm close to and while yes, I could talk to her about all these things, there is a slight difference of opinion. Although I don't feel judged by her. However, I haven't met a single girl who is as down to earth and easy to talk to as her. Most girls that I know are hypocritical prudes who will down right get offended by just about anything. When it comes to how often I meet guys like my best friends, well I've met several guys who open up easily and like to converse. Thus, I think really solid guys friends are easy to find, where as it seems difficult to meet a girl who's down to earth (at least from my perspective). As the ratio suggests, I have two close guy friends, and 1 close friend who is a girl. Anyways, I'd say I'm closer to Men, but I would like to meet more women like that my female best friend.

  • I have had a lot of "friends", if I can put it that way, that were both male and female, however I think males were more, and don't take this to offense, worth it? If that is too bold?
I don't know, I just think men seem to be more interesting and fun to be around for friendship. Not saying women aren't good friends, ofcourse I'm not, but I think men have more to them in friendship.

  • Geographically? A woman. My mum is two metres away and there's no-one else in the room. Unless you count myself, in which case a male obviously :P

In terms of who I am? Men, last time I checked. And since I had a shower 10 minutes ago, I can't imagine it having changed since then.

In terms of my friends (which I presume is your question)? It's pretty much equal. I have about an even number of male and female friends. My best friends have almost always been male, so probably just about men. It's a close run thing though.
