I feel pretty happy with where I live now, because I get parts of the country, and can go to a city I love fairly easily. I love both, and I'm not always sure which I prefer. I think living completely in the country or just a city might get slightly difficult for me at times, because I'd feel like something was missing. I'm selfish, I want both!
That's how I was as a kid as well. In my head, when I was all "grown up" and what not, I'd have a two houses, one in the middle of a forest, the other in a city, like New York (or China, I had a major fascination with the country as a kid). And then, I decided I'd be more practical, and just have a house in every country in the world:P. Aww, if only!
By the end of this year, if I do end up going to Uni, I'll definitely be in a city. Slap bang in the middle of one probably. I don't really want to go to a Uni that isn't in a city, for some reason. So, maybe that's my answer. I'm not sure how well I'll cope without all the trees and fields, though.:( I get two very different things from them. If I want peace and to feel content, then rural living. If I want some energy and excitement, urban living. I very much want both of those things, though.
I'm about the same, where I live it a good mix of rural, city and suburbs, I like them all. And if I really need a city fix, Philadelphia is only 45 min drive
Which type of living do you perfer?
