I feel pretty happy with where I live now, because I get parts of the country, and can go to a city I love fairly easily. I love both, and I'm not always sure which I prefer. I think living completely in the country or just a city might get slightly difficult for me at times, because I'd feel like something was missing. I'm selfish, I want both!
That's how I was as a kid as well. In my head, when I was all "grown up" and what not, I'd have a two houses, one in the middle of a forest, the other in a city, like New York (or China, I had a major fascination with the country as a kid). And then, I decided I'd be more practical, and just have a house in every country in the world:P. Aww, if only!
By the end of this year, if I do end up going to Uni, I'll definitely be in a city. Slap bang in the middle of one probably. I don't really want to go to a Uni that isn't in a city, for some reason. So, maybe that's my answer. I'm not sure how well I'll cope without all the trees and fields, though.:( I get two very different things from them. If I want peace and to feel content, then rural living. If I want some energy and excitement, urban living. I very much want both of those things, though.
I like my little beach town but i'd love lots of land and privacy. Not too far from the ocean though and mountains would be nice. Fuck the city man!!
Suburban.
I think my ideal is to be equidistant between the hustle and bustle of a big city and the placidity of the countryside, even better if there's a coastline.
Everything within 20 miles :)
I lived out in the country for most of my childhood. I can say definitively that I am not a fan.
Rural,
'cause I like knowing how to build a fire for myself while city kids just sit there and look at me sideways.
Easy living in either a urban setting or place that's somewhat far out with lots of land and privacy.
I'd love to live in a city. I live and have always lived in a semi-rural town, and I don't hate it but I don't feel any attachment to it. Honestly, I'm quite apathetic towards it. Like bananaface, I'm looking forward to living in a city when I go to university.
