  • I wasn't aware of that, thank you for your answer. I'm just posing a hypothetical question when the choices are male female out of curiousity as to gender bender acceptance in the public domain and how they fit in with categorization.

    • You are welcome. Transgender means identifying with one gender but not always reflecting it physically. Transsexual means you got a sex change. I hope this information helped you.

      • Oh god when I first posted this poll I titled it with transvestites and after reading the additional information below, users answered that the correct term I should be using for someone who dresses as a woman and identifies as a woman without the female genitalia is called a transsexual. Many people said that and i found a definition that backed it up. So I amended it to read transsexual. God this post has been more effort than its worth! Haha I picked such an ambigious field to probe it would seem

          • Nah, transgenders are men brainwashed by society into believing that just because they like girly things and act like a girl, that they should be a girl.

          • Yeah transgender sounds like it makes more sense when you put the meaning of the two seperate words together. I think you've got the right terminology there. I've never actually heard transgender used in everyday speech though but I would say its the correct term. Lol I'm not gonna make another amendment though so we'll just have to run with transsexual lol
