If we are just specifically talking about for gaming then pc 1 will perform better in games due to a fairly more powerful graphics card.

^ that. and AMD works better with ATI cards.

PC 1. Although I would upgrade the RAM to at least 8 gigs.

i went with pc2" anyways this dell's not that well when its game time but the hp goes pretty fast and the hp has the ATI on it whatever that is.

Neither. Nvidia graphics cards are so much better, not being biased, but in terms of driver updates, Nvidia has that down to a T, although they're a little pricier, they are much easier to work with, and ATI is going down hill..

You must remember that some games work better with specific hardware. Let's take Skyrim for example, which didn't work that well with NVidia graphics cards (however there are already fixes for that).

And some games might require a lot more from the CPU than GPU, like the grand strategy games from Paradox Interactive.

But anyway, PC number 1 is better for gaming (generally), just like Darkoil said.

      oh are u sure?
      btw,i just checked,and pc1 has 4gb ram,not 6. i made a mistake.
      does that change a lot?
cause i heard more ram the better and that intel i5 is much better than the amd one.
i would like to play GTA IV or batman arkham city on high.
idk which one to pick :O

Quality over quantity. If a game uses only 2 gb of RAM, it won't make any difference if you had 4, 8 or even 16 gb of RAM installed. The game still won't use more than 2 gb. So it's more important to have fast memory.

EDIT: Well, of course you shouldn't have just 2 gb of RAM if the game uses upto 2 gb, because your operating system and all programs running on the background will also take some memory.

          no,i hope ur right.
it really sucks they put 6gb to a less powerful pc,but in this one only 4gb.

            Should I hide somewhere? :D

Try googling for the different pieces of hardware and adding search words like "problem", "for gaming" and "bad". The first links might be to some forums with discussion about the hardware. That way you can find some information about weird problems and tips about other hardware within the same price range.

Like googling "ATI Radeon HD 5770 bad" (or something) gave a forum where people pointed out that another card costs exactly the same but is almost twice as powerful. The other card just wasn't advertised that much.

You can put as much ram in as you want but it still won't make that much of a difference compared to the difference between the graphics cards. Ive got 4 gb of ram and I havnt come across a game yet that i can't play on ultra.

I thought you meant a brand....

XPS was made specifically for gaming, but dell sucks.

They say that macbook is good for it. I have 2011 Air, but it doesn't have a cd drive.... Macbook Pro I think is good for gaming. Either way, you'll get what you pay for, reliability and efficiency:)

I really don't get the tech specs, I usually go by reviews.

Well, the hp wasn't bought by me. It was bought by my family and there was a set price range.

I bought my Air in November, with my own money.
I got so I could properly share my artwork and not get hacked.

But you're right about researching things, that's largely how I decided on my mac. My hp constantly has to be charged and I charge my mac just about everyday, but at its battery lasts more than a second:)

see what votes it is and it puts out and hook a wire up to it then no more charging the thing,

you just need the right adapter and read the ins and outs on it too plus the + & - on the adapter so you don't blow nothing out or any resisters.

Well I think Macs suck but yeah. Just sayin' :P

You can be perfectly safe from hackers on a Windows PC and battery life depends on the hardware - Macs don't have some special battery y'know.

        Yeah, apple is pretty expensive...

When I buy Windows, I usually go for what has the most features.... Especially, a large amount of GB.

I really don't know the understand the depth of the specs, so I constantly ask the sales people questions....
