Which of these would you prefer for a first date?

Do people actually go on dates? I'm not making fun, it just seems out of date (haha get it) these days.

I've always just met a woman, had sex with her, then one of us asks the other out the next day if we're interested. And I know it's not just me that does this, because I know tons of people who met their partners this way.

I met my current girlfriend at the supermarket, exchanged numbers, she came over the next day, we had sex, now we're together.
